| iAE WORLD EDUCATION FAIR March 07 |
| March 25~26th, 2007 Taipei, taiwan |
|
| Introduction |
|
Welcome to the inaugural iAE World Education Fair. Our
fair will attract Taiwanese students:
interested in short and long-term language travel in 15 destination
countries students wishing to undertake TESOL courses abroad
students searching for work and language study opportunities
While there are a number of country-specific exhibitions
in Taiwan, never before have students had so many choices
to study language-related courses in so many countries!
March is the best time of the year for foreign education
exhibitions in Ttaiwan. Students complete their academic year
in June and those wishing to study overseas actively collect
information from websites, agents and exhibitions. Summer
vacation begins after the June exams and increasing numbers
of students are keen to travel abroad for language study in
the summer.
The Fair is scheduled for the weekend preceding COEX in Korea,
enabling institutions to cover both countries in a single
sales visit.
|
|
| Why Taiwan? |
|
| aiwanese are keen language learners. Proficiency in language
is key to academic and professional advancement. As a small
island with a vibrant export economy and a per capita GDP nearing
USD$16,000 per year, Taiwanese are willing and able language
travelers. Last year, 45,000 Taiwanese students traveled abroad
for study, the majority included at least some language study
in their study plan. This figure does not include a very significant
number of students traveling for shorter language courses on
non-student visas (study tours, working holiday visas, summer
courses). |
|
| All things “ Language” |
|
In order to attract the widest possible number of interested
students, the following language-related sectors will be featured
at the fair:
Proven English language destinations: Quality study options
in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand
Exciting new English language destinations: Malta, Ireland
and South Africa
Increasingly popular languages-other-than-English: Japanese,
French, Italian,
Spanish, German, Russian, and Korean
The next wave: Work and Language options (Working Holiday
visa)
Post-graduate (MA) TESOL higher education degrees: UK, Australia,
USA, Canada
The iAE Taiwan strategy for the fair is:. |
|
| No profit pursuance |
|
| Our business is all about helping you meet your student recruitment
targets in Taiwan. The WEF is an important tool to help raise
the profile of your institution and iAE Taiwan will use the
entire fair participation fee to attract maximum exposure for
the fair. |
|
| Taipei – the best choice |
|
| The inaugural 2007 WEF will be held in Taipei (pop. 6.5 million),
Taiwan’s capital city and financial, cultural, and educational
hub. From 2008, the fair concept will be extended to include
Taiwan’s two other major cities, Taichung and Kaohsiung.
A series of mini-fairs and promotions are planned for other
cities such as Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Yunlin and Tainan. These activities
are an extension of the WEF and are designed to further raise
the profile of participating schools. |
|
| An iAE Taiwan sales expert at the booth |
|
| The WEF is a valuable opportunity to inform and educate students
in Taiwan about your institution. The quality of the interpretation
service you receive at the fair is of paramount importance.
iAE Taiwan will undertake an extensive program of interpreter
product training prior to your arrival in Taiwan. In addition,
designated counselors will spend a minimum of one hour with
school representatives before the exhibition to do a final briefing
and ask any questions they may have regarding the institution. |
|
| Year round promotion for exhibitors/schools |
|
| During the fair, prospective students and parents will receive
a copy of a high-quality comprehensive exhibitors' directory,
which will also be distributed via events and promotions throughout
the year. Detailed information on priority institutions will
be featured on the www.iaetaiwan.net
website. Counselors will also be encouraged to meet an agreed
annual sales target for your institution. |
